How do you mean -- does my unmodified utility not compile or work on the

It didn't build initially (I can't recall what version I was using at 
the time, maybe somewhere around the 0.10.4 timeframe?), though wasn't 
hard to get working.  It did have some bugs that needed to be fixed and 
some other cleanup I believe, and I wanted to extend it to do the 
slicing I described.

Hrm, how about "slicecap", which hopefully doesn't collide with the name 
of a util from some other package somewhere =)  (A quick Google search 
turns up nothing)
