I have been trying the latest pre-release of 0.10.7
and have found a problem with it running on Win98SE with WinPCAP 3.0.
When taking a small trace all works well, but
taking one of about 406KB, Ethereal crashes. The problem happens when the
capture is stopped and Ethereal starts to load it up to display it. Part way
through this process it causes an invalid page fault in MSVCRT.DLL.
I have tried it with WinPcap 3.1 beta 3, but in
common with all pre-releases this causes ethereal to stop responding when trying
to open the capture dialog. However, I would have thought that is a problem with
WinPcap, but it was OK with 0.10.4.
