Ethereal 0.10.5a with latest WinPcap
Windows 98 SE, XP 2800, 512 MB

On startup DOS box reads:
(ethereal.exe:4294811395): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkwindow.c: line 3107 (gtk_window_resize): assertion `height > 0' failed
(ethereal.exe:4294811395): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkwindow.c: line 3107 (gtk_window_resize): assertion `height > 0' failed 


When trying to save or export captured data DOS box reads:
(ethereal.exe:4294811395): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkfilesystem.c: line 652 (gtk_file_system_filename_to_path): assertion `filename != NULL' failed
(ethereal.exe:4294811395): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkfilesystem.c: line 323 (gtk_file_system_get_folder): assertion `path != NULL' failed
(ethereal.exe:4294811395): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkfilechooserdefault.c: line 705 (error_dialog): assertion `path != NULL' failed
(ethereal.exe:4294811395): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkfilesystem.c: line 652 (gtk_file_system_filename_to_path): assertion `filename != NULL' failed 

Windows pop up reads:
Ethereal caused an invalid page fault in module MSVCRT.DLL
