That's got it.

It turns out that "maintainer-clean" (which I just started using) 
removes "ascend-grammar.h" but not "ascend-grammmar.c".  I can't figure 
out why it removes the .h file, though...

The attached patch fixes it (more or less) but I'm not sure if this is 
correct either...
