I've changed Makefile.am so that it'll be part of the distribution in
the next release - it's not necessary if a "make distclean" isn't done,
as "cvsversion.h" is supplied as part of the distribution, but "make
distclean" removes it.

Perhaps "make distclean" *shouldn't* remove it, as it *is* part of the
distribution.

I've attached make-version.pl to this message.
