when configured with the following options: --enable-randpkt --sysconfdir=/usr/local/share/ethereal --libdir=/usr/local/share/ethereal --with-ssl=/usr/lib --with-netsnmp
1. autoconf doesn't find net-snmp headers in /usr/local/net-snmp when the library is in /usr/lib. Mac OS X ships with a net-snmp lib, but without the headers.

Making all in gtk
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `Makefile.common', needed by `Makefile.in'. Stop.
