No, you are not the only one that has noticed this problem.

I think I first experienced some problems with this with the 0.10.0 version
(i.e. the downloaded installation script) and I think that some people
reported on the mailing list that they had some problems with the file
selection on Windows some days or weeks after 0.10.0 was released.

It was just some days ago that I built a version myself with recent code and
noticed that the problem exists also with the latest nightly builds and I
had planned to write a mail about it after doing some more experiments
during this weekend.

I have noticed the problem on both Windows 2000 and XP. I have only used
GTK1.
