Well, the actual structure of the "File->Export" submenu has to be thought of. I'm currently unsure, how the actual functionality should be structured in there and how it should be called.
I just didn't like the place where this menu item is placed, as this *will* confuse the users IMHO.

As I don't know much about the XML output, so I'm unsure on this topic also. If the file format will be a standardized well known way to transfer data (for in- and output), this would better reside in the "File->Save/Save As" menu item.
If it's an output only file format with several different DTD's, then it's maybe better to put it into the "File->Export" submenu.
