Hi list.

I have checked in a patch that makes alloc_field_info() a bit faster which
were one of the top ten cpu hogs in
the previous GPROF data.
All in all ethereal, in my limited testing, seems to be 2-3% faster with
this patch.


Could someone compile the current CVS and do a new GPROF run on it so see
where we stand now and who
is next in line for some optimization.

Ian, Richard?  A new GPROF run on the same datasets you used for the
previous GPROF runs?
