Hmmm, sounds to me, that this topic isn't directly related to the Glib version, but simply a GTK 1.3 thing in itself.

IMHO, config.nmake should reflect this by using an additional "GTK_1_3_OLD" (or such) setting, as there seems to be different GTK1.3 "directory versions" out there. 

This shouldn't depend on the GLib version, as this is a completely different thing.
