Not sure if this will help, but I have a reproducible error.  What  
other details can I provide?

The trace has 72341 frames, one tcp conversation, full frames.

Command Line is:
ethereal -r file.media-4577.dmp &

To duplicate:
Run the IOStats graph from the menus
Disable the 1st graph
in the 2nd filter ip.src == Vincent-1
in the 3rd filter ip.src == MediaSvr

Clicking on the Units button and  selected Advanced, ethereal crashed  
and output the error:
