SMPP (and UCP and OIS) are application protocols used to submit/receive
short messages (using TCP, X.25, ...) toward a Short Message Service Centre.
GSM SMS is the protocol to actually relay these messages over the SS7
signalling network towards the mobile.
You might wanna share reassembly of messages as they can carry EMS or
WSP-traffic that could be dissected...
