I've jsut created a patch that checks whether a display filter is being
called with capture syntax. In order to do that, I'll need to copy all
the pcap stuff detection from the toplevel configure.in and acinclude.m4
into the files in epan. Instead of doing that I'm very tempted to remove
the configure stuff in epan completely and merge it into the toplevel
configure. This would also spped up the configure process and be more
in line with the suggestions from the autoconf info file.
Are there strong reasons not to do this?
