It is due to a conflict in zlib. You can either try to find the good release or rebuild it from the zlib web site (http://www.gzip.org/zlib/). I did the latter and it takes just a few minutes.

Bill/All,

 

Did anything ever come from this build issue with MSVC++7?  I could not find the "<snip>", but I'm building 0.9.15 with MSVC++7 under Win2K, following the README.win32 recommended build packages and I see an exception whenever I attempt a capture.  The failure is occurring in the msvcr71d dll when an attempt is made to open the capture file.  This happens whether or not I specify a file or a temp file is generated.

 

I'm also unable to read any previously captured files.

 

Was this similar to the issue seen by the other individual having issues with MSVC7?
