 I've been working with Ethereal in Linux for a while, but this is my first dive into win32 and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003.
 
Ethereal finally full links and runs, but when I attempt a capture I get the pop-up message:

ethereal.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x77f92373" referenced memory at "0x00000010".  The memory could not be "written"

The application is failing inside "libpcap_dump_open" at the "fwrite" statement.  I've loaded all the packages recommended in the README.win32, and WinPcap 3.01.  I've also noticed that it is unable to open and read any previously captured files.

Has anybody see a similar failure?  The pre-build binary package installs and runs fine.
