OK, I could not read the stuff in aclocal.m4. It does look like we are
looking for -lsnmp first and then -lsnmp -lkstat after that.
The problem I had, I think, was that certain DES routines are required
that on RH9 seem to be in Kerberos compat libs
(/usr/kerberos/lib/libdes425.*) and that was confusing me as well.
