Sigh. Blah blah blah "Fink does not yet support compiling with gcc 3.3" blah blah blah. So much for Fink. (I'd rather compile Ethereal with 3.3, as it finds more errors.)

However, a small program built with the dlcompat library indicates that it *does* support importing symbols from the executable when loading .bundles, so, as far as I know, there would be no platforms on which Ethereal runs that can support run-time dynamic linking in GLib *and* that require the "plugin API" stuff.
