Dear Jeff,
I modified the dissector based on your patch and checked it in. The
M2PA dissector supports now version 2 and 6 of the draft. The version
and the SCTP port number can be selected.

I will replace version 6 support with newer ones when they are
available. Version 2 support will not be replaced.

Best regards
Michael

Hi list,

Part of me had this feeling that I should have taken Michael up on his offer to make draft-2 compliance for M2PA a runtime option oh so long ago, but at the time I figured the world would be moving to the newer drafts.

Alas, it seems there are several vendors supporting products based on draft-2. So, here is a patch which adds draft-2 compliance to "packet-m2pa.c" (as a preference). It also adds SCTP port number selection to M2PA as a preference. (Hopefully I didn't step on the draft-6 stuff at all; I have no way of testing draft-6 compliance...)

-Jeff

Dear all,

please find attached an update of packet-m2pa.c which updates
the current one by
- supporting the most recent internet-draft (03)
- better integrating into the SCTP upper layer protocol display strategy
- making all protocol fields searchable.

If there is still a need of supporting the old version (02) of the
draft, I can modify the dissector to support both versions by making
the draft version selectable in the preferences menu.

Best regards
Michael
