Some words about the gtk2 port of win32.
Tor Lillqvist (the maintainer of gtk on win32) says "Remember that GTK+ 2.0 is not as stable on Windows as it is on Unix".
I have disabled the low priority threads on the gtk2 win32 generation, because it was the only way to get it running. I am really not sure, if it's a problem in the ethereal source, or with the win32 port.
So...
The disabling of the low priority threads is only effective on the win32 generation. This is really a "quick hack" to get it up and running.
I really, really hope this is only a temporary solution for the reasons Ronnie Sahlberg described earlier, as I would like to have them in the win32 generation also.
