The Grand Plan is to have a shared-library with all the dissector
ability of both... "libethereal.so" (or "libethereal.dll"). Both
tethereal and ethereal would make use of it. That would reduce the size
of the binary distribution quite a bit. But I don't believe any one is
actively working on the Grand Plan.
