plugin_list is defined in epan/plugins.[hc] It should alway be present,
so I'm confused about the problem you are seeing. Please have a look
at your make logs: While creating libethereal.a: Is plugins.o linked
into it? While linking ethereal: Is epan/libethereal.a linked into
it?

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
