"Better" in what sense?

It would involve less work cleanly separating GUI code from the rest of
Ethereal, but would

	1) require that you port GTK+ to Quartz (which is probably a
	   non-trivial task)

and

	2) give you an application that looked and acted like a GTK+
	   application rather than a native MacOS X application (unless
	   you have a GTK+ theme that looks like Aqua, but if anybody
	   did *that*, Sandeep's employer would probably sue them so
	   fast their heads would spin) - some would consider "it looks
	   like a GTK+ application" a feature, but others would not, and
	   I'm not at all inclined to dismiss those who would not
	   consider it a feature.
