Hello Richard,

The draft (10) iSCSI standard does not explicitly state whether the
commands are to be SPC-2 or SPC-3 and there is nothing in the protocol
that indicates which variety is in use.

It would be possible to use a vendor-specific value in the login
negotiation to pass that information but that would obviously require
both the initiator and target supporting such a feature.
