Sorry, there was a problem in the "cap_t.cpp" file (the non-promiscuous
support of a DialUp connection). I attach a new release. In addition, I also
join the compiled library for those who want to test.
Regards
Laurent

Objet : [Ethereal-dev] A lipcap wrapper for Ethereal to support the Network
Monitor Driv er

Hello,
Please find enclosed a wrapper for Ethereal to support the Network Monitor
analyzer driver. Main advantages supplied by this driver are:
1) it supports DialUp connections analysis
2) It is included by default with Windows 2000 and Windows XP (at least pro
release)

It's major drawbacks are:
1) it doesn't run on W 95, 98 and Me
2) It must be purchased on NT4 (to be checked)

To install the NetMon driver, add a "Protocol" in the Windows "Network
settings" and select "Network Monitor Driver".

To compile properly, you must have the Network Monitor SDK you can fin in
the MSDN distribution.

This library is not finished that's why I don't add this lib in the Ethereal
source code yet and this also explains why I provide a "Microsoft Visual C++
project" ie: Not Borland compatible for example. As a temporary solution, I
use the standard name "wpcap.dll" and install it in the Ethereal directory.
To finish this wrapper it is compulsory to:
- add the filtering part (I can do this in a few days only...)

Optionally, we could complete unsupported functions (those that deal with
files) to obtain a "pure" libcap wrapper.
I hope you'll find this module usefull.
Best Regards
Laurent
