OK. As per your README, you want this information first:

Linux 2.4.0-0.99.11smp

Red Hat Linux release 7.0.90 (Fisher)

Gtk version is 1.2.8

ethereal 0.8.15, with GTK+ 1.2.8, with libpcap 0.4, with libz 1.1.3, with
UCD SNMP 4.2

Here is the problem: When clicking Capture->Start and then selecting the
"Update list of packets in real time" cb, and then selecting "OK", the main
window is not being updated at the same time. Once I stop the capture, if
the "real time" cb was selected the main window will not display any
information in the main window.

As a temporary measure, I have commented out "gtk_widget_show(sync_cb);" in
gtk/capture_dlg.c until this is reslolved.

I hope that this is helpful. If you are already aware of this problem please
let me know what your official workaround is so that I don't hat to leave
the cb hidden.
