Hmmm, well, I loaded the compressed capture file into my copy of Ethereal
0.8.15 and it did not crash at all.

There are lots of undissected UDP datagrams in there, all from port 1074 to
port 6970 and all going in one direction only.

No crash so far ... Did you have any plugins loaded?

OK, been through every packet in the capture file and I could not provoke a
crash.

The version of Ethereal I tried it with is from the CVS tree, but from a
