Yes, this old version was not highly stable due to either bugs in ethereal
or in the gtk library. The newer versions should be more stable though.

The official site is ethereal.zing.org where you will find the source
distribution. AFAIK, the Tru64 UNIX binary is only available through
the link you already used (on my homepage).
And I intend to release a new Tru64 binary soon after 0.8.12 is available.
