Andreas, I would like to thank you for your helpful, well presented and
generally admirable contributions to the list.
About once every 4 to 6 weeks I get a call from people offering linux
training or certification. Sometimes I point out to them that not
only linux, but the entire Free World has an open source certification
system; we are still missing training and mentoring though, because
every time someone leaves a mailing list or news group we all suffer.
One thing that can be done is described in ESR's pages and the black
book of CVS methods, and that is to make sure that projects are
never orphaned (or at least not without very good reason) and code
does not get wasted.
Anyway, I wish both you and Philips the very best for the future.
Ben.
